How We Help

Joyful Journeys Community Enrichment provides critical human services for those struggling at any point in life. We operate programs to assist in most circumstances by enriching one's experience through assistance and self sustainability training. From raising children, staying fit, household budgeting, educational advancement, learning about health and nutrition, providing survival essentials to the homeless and assisting in the employment seeking process we are here to help.

Joyful Journeys Baby Borrow – An opportunity that empowers parents to provide for their children through a borrowing program. Once a child outgrows borrowed items, they are lent out to other families and so on. We do require families to sign up for education/employment classes, volunteer opportunities or life skill development if participating.

Joyful Fitt – A family friendly program encouraging the education of wellness, nutrition and exercise with tremendous support!  

Joyful Essentials- The collection and distribution of hygiene products, food, coats, clothes and blankets to create care packages for the homeless. We also have an on-sight clothes, food and hygiene pantry for families in need
Savvy Shoppers Joyful Coupon Cutting – An instructional class for those hoping to stretch their shopping budget. This course teaches folks to save money by utilizing coupons and sales at their local stores.

Joyful Journeys Laugh and Learn – An after-school program hosted in low income – high residential neighborhoods to provide a safe place for academic support and tutoring, games, relationship building, arts and active play. 

Journey to Employment
– Personal help with tools and skills to become more employable. Business attire provided if necessary on an as needed basis.

Joyful Journeys Santa Claus Workshop for Adams County – A holiday assistance program that helps over 1,000 children in Adams County.  This is a referral based program and recipients are pre-screened through WIC, TANF, housing, school liaisons and local churches.

Joyful Journeys Watch Your Garden Grow –Courses focused on food quality, care of, use of, waste of and overall nutritional self ­sufficiency. $25 produce baskets offered with 30ish pounds of various fruits and vegetables.

Adopt­-A-­Street – A way for our clients to maintain the learned sense of community responsibility by giving back through the City of Thornton’s Adopt-­A-­Street program.


Joyful Celebrations – Special events and celebrations offering a tremendous amount of fun, camaraderie and relationship building to the children and neighborhoods of our Laugh and Learn Program.
